I love you. I love to read your comments. to see that someone out there cares. this is new, scary in some ways. wonderful in others.

please tell me about places in the world you would like to visit. please tell me about exotic animals and plants far beyond America. please tell me about the oceans and what to expect, cuz I'm never allowed anywhere since I seizure so easily. could you tell me where you would wanna go, you, who represent the free people? could you tell me stories about the world,

I know I dnt comment much but I really do love reading your posts :) One day I would love to go to a far away island to just get away from the stressers of everyday life. I would take my husband and hope my parents would watch my kiddies so we can just get away and be free!
I hope you have a great week! Know You have someone who enjoys your posts and cares about your thoughts!

  2. Hey Aurora, your blog is amazing. I'm sorry that your not allowed to travel because of your epilepsy. Maybe one day you could travel somewhere.

Personally, I want to go to Greece, Italy, and Russia. I want to breathe in the strong salty Greek air, and eat loads of Pizza in Venice and Florence. I want to bundle up and brave the cold winds of St. Petersburg, Russia.

My favorite place that I've visited would have to be the Dead Sea in Jordan. There's a salty scent in the air, and there are clay tubs and tubs of mud that you can put all over your body and you can fully feel at peace with nature and completley relaxed.

    That's my most favorite place.

  3. I live in Finland, which is often forgot as a country. People visit Denmark, Norway, Sweden etc but rarely Finland.

Finland is a beautiful country, full of forests and lakes. Even though i can't deny it's beauty (I doubt anyone can), I've never felt at home in here. That's probably why I love travelling so much, trying to find my place.

France looks like a beautiful patchwork from above. When you walk the streets of Paris, this amazing feeling captures you. I can't really explain it.. It's something in the air. I turn 16 this month, so I haven't travelled much, but from all the places I've been, Paris, for me, was the most unforgettable. I expected it was the kind of city everyone says it's like. The city of lights, city of love, spring, café au laits and croissants. The typical parisian cliché, you know? Well.. It really is scary how it is all that, but still, somehow, at the same time, nothing like you expected. Like suddenly it's not just a cliché, it's real.

See? You can't explain it properly. I've known for years now that Finland is not where I want to live for the rest of my life. I've been to Sweden, Russia, Estonia, Spain, Greece, Italy and France, and even though all those places are worth visiting, France is the only one of those places I think I could live in. I'll keep searching.

I'm leaving to Germany in April or May, not sure yet, and I'm planning to visit most of the European countries next summer interrailing. I dream of travelling around the world in the future, seeing what's it like in India, Thailand, Australia and so on.. And hopefully during that time, I will find a place that feels like home.

  4. Hey there,

Go to my blog and then click on the link "My Artwork"...You will find sketches from my travels and an i-movie based on a poem I wrote with my own illustrations from my experiences if you can make the time to explore my website...

It might not be exotic to you, but it is to me.

I bet someday you will travel more with someone who will take care of you and who will want you to take care of them too =) I have a gut feeling ;)

  5. I also wanted to say that although you might feel trapped, it won't be like that forever. Soon you're all grown up and you can make your own choices.

My aunt, Johanna, who died on the last year's valentine's day at only 44, was very sick ever since she was a little girl. She was born with very bad eyes and her other leg was shorter than the other, so she always had problems with her hip joints and had thick glasses from the age of two. When she was a teen, she was diagnosed with diabetes and scoliosis. Even though walking was painful for her, her eyesight kept getting worse and her condition was pretty bad, she always travelled by herself. She left Finland to travel around the world at 23. She visited almost every country you can imagine. After that, she taught English to monks in Tibet for a couple of years, than moved to Italy, where she lived with her fiancé until he died of cancer. Her last ten years she lived in Bhangok and Laos. She always said the climate was better for her in there, but I secretly think she felt out of place in Finland too. Though I never had the chance to spend a lot of time with her, I feel a strong connection between us probably because of that.

The point of telling all this to you is that if I have learned anything from her, it's that you should never let anything stop you from making your dreams come true.

    Strength x

  8. oh beautiful one. like you i am trapped with panic disorder. it is frustrating. when it wasn't so bad i went to rome which is the most amazing place i have ever been. and to paris, london and switzerland. new york is fun. but i really want to go to spain and greece. for our honeymoon my husband and i went to this island in the bahamas called the turks and caicos that will forever remain a part of my heart. and we are planning on moving to mexico by the beach really soon. i feel like being near the ocean is very healing and i feel like it will heal a lot of my anxiety. we shall see. if you ever need a visitor or someone to talk to, my e-mail is on my page. love.

  10. There's plenty of world right on our doorstep, and for me there is a wealth of interesting experiences and people available locally and nationally. I'd love to travel to far off places, but would probably never be able to afford it, so now I seek exploration via new sensations and experiences which are available anywhere and everywhere, if you know where to look ;)

  11. I always dreamed about going to Japan, but I'm afraid this will never happened. When I was a kid I was in St. Petersburg once and I always fear that this is the furthest I can go. St. Petersburg was back then in USSR, but to me it didn't make any difference. I just thought it was monumental and, simply, beautiful. Overwhelming.

(And you are also one of free ppl, you just need to take more care about yourself...)

  14. I remember two trips that I took as a sparring partner... one was to Russia. I wish that I could remember the city. The people had a beauty about them that made me consider how white folks came to be called 'caucasian'. There seemed to be an asiatic flavoring to them and I thought to myself that they have the best of all people, not just one, in them.

I was in my mid 20's in Monaco. The cat I was training with was and still is, an uncouth oaf. Goes to show you money buys you a lot but it doesn't buy you class. It was beautiful country but I felt like an imposter and that I was drowing. I tried to talk with the 'help', the people who worked at the keeping the rich and powerful comfortable. Walking down the streets and past the shops, I likened it to being so high up that your nose bled.

Montreal was my favorite place. It was a beautiful city and I wish that I had remained focused as a child and went on an attended McGill University. The mix between the old and new was balance quite nicely.

I wish that I had more souvienirs to make my memories more accessible. Be well!!

  17. i have lived in what feels like a million places. traveled around the globe and seen the most amazing things but let me tell you, that gets boring to. the world is a beautiful place but at this point i dont even want to leave the apartment. at some point you will get to see the world aswell, think then of how boring you have found it being sitting at home, that way you will truely enjoy it. like i am now enjoying just staying still.

  18. I would love to fly far far away and visit countries outside of Europe. Countries with warm smells and colour. But for now I have to settle for a flight home to Sweden for a few days. But that's pretty nice too.

    Lovely blog.

  20. the fate of fifteen year olds everywhere is to feel too much contained, to be pressed against the glass of adulthood while final responsibility is withheld.

i would like to go to antarctica. there will be frozen ice-scapes in shades of white and blue as far as i can see.

  21. I'd like to go to Europe and South America. I've only been over the Atlantic Ocean. It's very pretty, but in a way, frightening. I've been many places I guess. I'm sure you won't be restricted all your life.

    Much love,
    Sophia

  23. Paris darling, I spent an entire summer in an apartment close to the eifel tower two years a go with my friend Chloè. We drank wine for breakfast, ate macaroons for lunch and had parties every night. When the sun was just about the rise, we sneaked out and sat down under the eifel tower leaving our guests in the apartment to amuse themselfs without us. We went shopping drunk and everybody smokes everywhere. We kissed french boys and made them sleep on the floor. I wish I could take you with me the next time I'll go.

  25. I am from Norway, I spent my high school years in France, at the lycee. It was amazing, but somehow I always felt like a stranger, an immigrant. So I went home, to my native country, and I still feel different from the others, I still feel like a stranger. I don't feel norwegian anymore, and I most certainly don't feel french. I grew sick of comments like "your accent is so sweet" and "I love your blonde hair, you look like a porcelain doll". Now I miss those comments. The girls in Norway are by far the most pretty, I think, or maybe they just know how to use their make-up properly. Otherwise, I've been to Thailand, Mexico, Egypt, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Germany, London, Italy and the states, twice (Florida and New York). And I've been to every corner of France. I love travelling. Next fall I'm going to explore Asia and Africa, I'm going travelling for almost four months. I would love to live in NY for a while though. And my heart and soul is longing back to France and Paris.
